The Ghostbusters’ Car

Besides Spenser, Tracy, and Kong, you could almost say the fourth Ghostbuster was the old jalopy they drove. The 1929 Whippet, in its day the third best selling car after Ford and Chevrolet, did not survive the Great Depression, but the Filmation production team found one that could be restored to working order. It had reportedly been in service as a taxi in Argentina. Tracy the Gorilla was the usual driver, but Spenser also took the wheel occasionally. It was mentioned that Kong would go pull the car around to get ready for a mission, but we never saw it onscreen.
